Catch-Up #1 left off at July 1st - Canada Day.....
The day or so after we took a day to go fishing. Dad & Shane went early and Mom, G-ma, and I met them out at the cottage. We brought lunch and got there just as they were coming into shore. After lunch, and a nap, Shane & I took G-ma out to fish. In the end, we had lots of bass and walley..?? (pictured also: beaver dam)
Julie, one of our recent graduates, has been working all summer at 'Round Lake Bible Camp.' We told her we would come visit when we were in T.Bay, so we headed off one morning to check out the camp and to get in a great visit with Julie. The camp is not on a very big piece of property, but it is on the lake and really nice! (pictured also: the cabins)
One afternoon we hung out with Dave, Wendy and the family. Us girls went out to eat dinner at 'Wendys' and then headed back to Traintingers for the evening while the guys went out looking for beavers.
The next day the guys headed back out to the cottages to help put up a shed for Kyle & Meagan.
We got in some visits with family too! Ryan & Carolyn came over to show us their pics. from Indo, we visited Uncle Dan & Aunt Arlene with Carolyn and her family, Howard & Carol also came for a visit and so did Uncle Rob & Madilyn!
The Sunday we headed out, we spoke at Lakehead Baptist Church. Lots were away, so I got to run the sound, worship powerpoints, and run our Powerpoint presentation. :) Never been in the sound booth before!!! :)
We ended up at Uncle Philips & Aunt Karen's for a few days on our way to Minnesota. (We passed this sign and saw our moose!)
We helped them bring in 6? loads of hay! That was a new experience and pretty fun. UP & AK knew what kind of cloths would work best, so we slipped into long shirts and rubber boots to keep the hay off us! We biked, talked, and ate yummy fresh garden veggies! We even had an experience with tics! Been a LOOOOOONG time for that one!
Leaving Ontario, we headed for Minnesota! We had a super time with the Cranes, Lees, and G-ma Gustufson. We seemed to run into a lot of bad weather lately! :) BIG storm clouds through the north central/eastern states.
Our last US stop was to Michigan. We had an awesome time with Nelson & Elaine and girls! :) There's the guys re-living their Bible-school ping-pong days. :)
Once back to Ontario, we had a week to finish packing and cleaning out our apartment. That week I also had the privilege of taking some more prayer card pics for our friends. :) Here is one of the Bechtels, deBoer's and the Dycks. :) (pictured also: the most photographed bridge in Ontario I think! :) Our little bridge on camp. & HOW can I forget the visit from Julie Koop!!!!) Packing was EXHAUSTING! There's a good picture of how we felt at the end of the week! :)
