... Shane's sister and family came to meet us (from Papua/Moi tribe) and Tim's family for a week. I wasn't exactly feeling like it was great timing with everything happening, but that is when it was and I am very glad for it. I had the chance to get away from it all and to just enjoy things for a while. {The organizer and planner that I am can only take so much flexibility...before it kind of gets to me.}
So, here are some pics, hope you enjoy. :)

Bali, Indonesian island in bottom east corner of Java. {We drove in Tim's car the 17 hours there and then did the round-about trip home through Bromo and Surabaya.}

The ferry going....

The ferry coming....

Bromo, East Java

First mornings' sunrise....

Hiking the cone volcano to the right of the active part... Mt. Batok. It took ME - 45 minutes and the rest of the gang - 30 minutes.

Views from the top.

A footprint??

A lone dead tree...

Shane in a dirt-devil.

Heading down!!

Me in the morning, mid morning, late morning... :) Ha!

Wild blueberries!! Here I am making syrup while Carolyn and the girls made jam in the hotel's kitchen. :)

Sunset... the sun actually set more on the right so it wasn't all that wonderful, but you could see the last rays of sun on the volcanos. :)

THIS guy got to be the tourist this time! :) I asked him to just stay put and act like I wasn't taking a picture. Hee hee hee.....

Surabaya {A large city 7 hours North-East of us. There was a National Geographic article about the gas drilling that has turned into a continual mud flow, destroying villages. I forget how much mud continues to flow out of it each day. }
At the zoo:

Remember my post about eating Kijang?

Our friends from our OLD neighborhood how now live in Surabaya. They met us at the mall and we enjoyed a good 2 hour visit. :)

And... of course, some flowers from all places. :)
