My Garden

Well, as I write this, I am two weeks from these pictures. I know my pionies (I actually had THREE this year!!!!) were falling apart as we left a week ago, and I am sure that my cilantro is WAY dead, but I love my garden and am glad to have had the chance to have one. It has been really nice to see flowers grow, to add them to what was there, and to see the change of colour as new ones come and old ones go. God certainly knows what we need!

Time in the Garage & JC

Today, Shane worked on the car. Our dear ol' False Prophet.... I gave Shane a hand with cleaning the heads on the distributor cap and he put new wires on, worked on some wire that helps the car shift into another gear, and I wiped out the interior. :) (Ray came by for a visit as he vacumed out his car and then later refreshed us with Ice Capps! Thanks Ray!!!) :)











For dinner, we headed up to dinner - it was chicken kill day. :)

A Bit of Work

Shane has been working on the new outhouses in JC. (Previous post...) Here he's fixing up the partitions from the old ladies bathroom down by lakeside and he is installing them up in JC. He said they are going to fit perfectly. That's great that they can be re-used in that way. :)













Another dear friend gives me some flowers. What a blessing from the Lord, and a real picker-upper.

Time with Friends is Special

Kathy and I had a wonderful afternoon together as we did a bit of sightseeing, talking, drinking coffee, and enjoying some of Kincardine.

First though, it was a visit from Marilyn, a good friend of P&K's from their university days. Marilyn is a sweet woman of God. She has a big heart for others to come to know the Lord, and a big heart for Missions. We'll see her again in Orillia!

Afternoon of Cards

A couple of Tuesdays a month, a few of us ladies from church get together and make cards at one of the ladies house. (I don't get to go that often, maybe once every two months.) It has been a very nice chance for me to get away and spent talking, laughing and listening to my lady friends.

With Shane away on the hike yet, and feeling a bit down, I headed for the pits. It was fire makin' time, and a time to do a bit of re-modeling on our cooking place. Jess came for a little bit to give me some company. That was REALLY nice!!! Thanks so much Jess!

The Men's Hike

Well, as you can see, I have had a blogging marathon this A.M. I have been wanting to blog, but other things, like packing :), have been a bit higher on the priority list. Shane is gone for three days now, as the men headed out on their hike at 8:00. I have a lot to do these next three days, so won't be sitting on my laurels. :)

Flight Fare Fundfraiser

Bakers and Witzke's put on an informative skit yesterday for the church. A group of people have met to discuss the role for the church in missions. This includes us, as we have been a part of this group of believers for 5 years now. They are trusting the Lord for enough money to help buy our tickets to Indonesia, and this skit was the jumping point.










Bakers had a grandson, Martin had a coconut machete, Ginger had her arm wrapped up like a cast, we did have happy pilots, and Sarah was a great stewardess! Thanks for all of the time you put into the skit you guys!!! You did a super job, and it was so funny. :) Thanks for how you have gotten behind us and been a support to us!

My Tea Flower

I have often wondered what happened to my tea flower from Louise! I figured I would find it once I got packing and clearing things out, and sure enough! Shane and I enjoyed our delightful cups of Jasmine tea, even out of my dainty tea cups! :)

Vacation Day

"We're on vacation!" That was Peter's happy explanation for our need to stop at Tim Horton's for a coffee. :) We didn't have a problem with that! :)

We got away on Saturday for an afternoon with Peter & Kathy. Was it ever nice! We came back refreshed and ready for another day.

Visiting the Builders

We've started our second week of building. I have been busy packing, but took a break and headed up to JC to see how the building was going. :)

We have birds in our sand banks/gravel pit!! :)

Our house is finally coming down this year, after 4 years of survival. For those of you who saw our house in it's prime, here's a current picture of my Italian brick stove.... :) It served it's purpose, and I really enjoyed building it.
