Getting 'Cultured.'
So... this past Thursday I had the opportunity to view a concert put on by the local Christian university.. UKSW.
The man and woman here have come to our house a few times to practice their English. I met Lydia while judging for an English Kindergarden kids' program. Lydia's husband is part leading this group and is a teacher at the University. It was such a FUN experience!!!!
The choral group put on a program of 9 folksongs from one end of Indonesia to the next. They did a super job and their voices were great! Lydia shared with me that her husband had called different areas in getting proper proununciation for the songs... since Indonesia has a VAST array of languages and these folksongs were a smidgen of this representation.
